CRICKET.

1 A cricket match was played at Rangiora bri, Thursday between the Kaiapoi and Rangiora Fire Brigades. The former won by 35 runs. Rangiora made 60 (W. T. Wilson 30, j. Sheppard 19), and Kaiapoi 85, (D. Brown 33, T. Clothier 16 and J. Burrows 10). Rangiora, in a second innings to play out time, made 117 for nine wickets. Morlland and Burrows for the winners, and Wilson find Birss for the other side; bowled best. In the evening the teams played a card match, which was won by Rangiora with twenty games to eighteen.
