LICENSING.

TO Tkß EDITOR. Sir, —Have you ever noticed how hard it is to please some people? “Moderate” accuses me of being too thin with my letter on the “ Burleigh case." I thought I made myself quite clear on the subject. I asked the question, and I repeat that question. Have the prohibitionists any rights at all; seeing that- they have no stake in the colony? There can bo no question they got a fearful drubbing, and had perjury been proved it might have been very awkward for those who committed it. As I said before, it is hard to please some people, and perhaps “ Moderate ” will be surprised to learn that a large number of the public are none too satisfied with the recent decision given by the Licensing Bench. I wonder what would please them?—l am, etc., xxxx.
