In connection with the retirement of Sir James Prendergast, there is a feeling amongst members of the Bar here that the number of judges should be increased.

It has leaked out that the Government will in the next session of Parliament propose the appointment of two additional! judges, independently of a successor to Sir James Pren'dergast. [Pee Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 10.
