OBITUARY.
. Another of the early Rangiora settlers, Mrs Pring, wife of Mr T. Pring, died on Tuesday. The deceased lady came to the colony with her husband abou>fc forty-three years ago, and settled in Rangiora. She took an active interest in temperance work, having been a member of the Good Intent Lodge of Good Templars from its infancy. Being of a most kindly and genial disposition, she was held in the highest esteem by all her friends. She leaves a grown-up family to deplore, their loss. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 10. Mr George Allen, an oUd resident of Wellington, and well known in the boat-build-ing trade in the early days, died to-day, after a brief illness. He was a member of the City Council for some years, and was connected with the directorates of several companies in Wellington. TPer Press Association.] TIMARU, May 10. Mr W. P. Grant, manager of the Assets Company's Waihaorunga Estate, Waimate, was found dead in his bedroom at the Empire Hotel this morning. He had died while undressing. He had been in the service of the Board and the Bank for many years past, and was highly respected.
