ENTERTAINMENTS.
A very pleasant smoke concert was held by members of the Canterbury Caledonian Society at their rooms last evening. There was a good attendance of members, and Air J. Gonnal- ty.as in the chair. The Chairman proposed the usual loyal toasts, and The Army,')Navy and -Volunteers,” which was responded to by .Mr J. Dongall and‘ Dr Thomas,;’ siher toasts were: “St Andrew,” “ Kindred Societies and Brother. Scots,” “The Ladies,” and “The Presx” During the evening songs were sung by Messrs M’Lean, - Thomson, Dongall, Johnston, Neill and Malcolmson, Piper Davidson .and the Chairman! Sir Davis Hunt played the accompaniments. '... .
