METEOROLOGICAL.
WEDNESDAY’S WEATHER. From Observation’s Taken at 9 a.m. The extreme barometric ranre was slight, varying from 3Q.33 at. Manukau Heads, down to 29.80 at Bluff. Throughout New Zealand the wind was generally from east to west of northerly, and fine weather reigned supremo throughout. The thermometne range was remarkably even, varying from 70 at Gape Maria Van Diemen to 61 at Bluff, the lowest record being 50 at Gape Campbell, and the next lowest 55 at Hokitika. The sea wan described as lumpy at the extreme northern station, but otherwise smooth throughout The Clutha was the only river reported to be in flood.
