THE KAIKOURA-CHEVIOT ROAD.

Over a hundred men engaged on the Kaikoura-Cheviofc road works have been suddenly knocked off until the end oi March. The non-completion of the road leaves it ending nowhere. The work was expected to be finished in about four weeks’ time, supplying a connecting-link of a fine main, road all round tho coast between Blenheim and Christchurch, via Cheviot.
