COUNTY COUNCIL.
GERALDINE. The monthly meeting of the Geraldine County Council on Thursday last was attended by Messrs J. Talbot (chairman), Dennistonn, Quinn, Richardson, Mackay, Shiersand A. Kelman. The Water Supply Committees all reported tho water-races in good order. The Commissioner of Crown Lands advised that the sum of A2OO had been granted to the Council for repairs to the Orari Bridge, and that Reserve No. 3180 at Temuka had been vested in the Council for river protective works. It was resolved that it should bo a rule that temporary repairs to the Council’s bridges in future should be carried out by the Geraldine Road Board within its district. Mr VV. S. Helena was granted a slaughtering license for R.S. 3159. The Commissioner of Taxes sent a voucher for payment
of subsidy of A 361 18s 3d. Accounts amounting to A 523 15s lid were passed for payment, and the Council then rose.
