LONDON, Sept. 5. A. C. M’Laren, a .member of Stoddart’s team, sailed for Australia ou Saturday. ' AMBERLEY CLUB. The annual meeting, of this club was held on Saturday, when Dr Fitz-Henry presided! The. report and balance-sheet, which were adopted, showed receipts .-£29 14s6d, expenditure .£3725. .The following officers were elected :—President, Mr F. Courage • vice - presidents. Rev Treacy,. Messrs C. : Ehsor, G; B. Starky, Kempthorne, Todd,-, and Dr Fitz-Henry ; ' captain, Dr Fitz,- Henry; deputy-captain, Mr C. 8.. Mason; .secretary, Mr F. L. Adams; treasurer, delegates': tb th:*£an ter Bury (Aickeif Association, .Messes C. B. Mason and R. Worriall.; "It was proposed to enter a: team fqjf- the North Canterbury Glficket Votes of tvlianks-were passed to‘the.Retiring to the ladies. It was decided £q;ppea' the season, on Sept7,„9. ■ Mr; Sbarky’s ; b&t was wOn'by" F. L. Adam’Sj for tile best batting average. A vote of thanks to the Chairman closed the meeting. , ....... The annual general meeting of the members of the Midland Canterbury Cricket Club will be held at eight o’clock on Saturday evening, at the Clarendon Hotel.
