[Per Press Association.] LONDON, Sept 5. Mutton, New Zealand cross-bred wethers and maiden owes, Canterbury, 3gd; Dunedin and Southland, 3Jd; North Island, 3sd. The above quotations are for average quality, and lines of not less than a hundred carcases. Lamb, prime Canterbury 32 to 421 b, 3|-d, fair average quality, including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington and secondary Canterbury; per 321 bto 421 b, 2|d. The quotations for lamb do not include sales of small lambs or heavies or inferior qualities. River Plato sheep, cross-bred or merino wethers, heavy, 2-rijd; light, 2|d. Sheepskins are in good demand, and the bulk has been sold. Best merino cross-breds are a farthing above the July rates; other sorts are unchanged. Silver, 2s o|d,
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cables from their London office, dated LONDON, Sept. 2.
Since our last telegram, prices of merino sheepskins are higher by par to ]d per lb. Prices of cross-bred sheepskins are nominally unchanged, but any change in prices is in favour of buyers.
Sept. 3. Frozen mutton market steady, but prices are unchanged.
