LAKE ELLESMERE DOMAIN BOARD.
A meeting of this Board was held at the offices of the Selwyn County Council yesterday afternoon; present—Messrs J. Eennie (chairman), J. Wolfe, A. Scott, A. Carnck and Dr Moorhouse. An apology for absence was received from Mr 11. Westenra, who was attending a meeting of the Hospital Board. The Chairman reported that he had laid out the land at the Selwyn Camp Reserve for planting, and had had it ploughed, at a cost of .61. There were forty chains of fencing to be put up, and a tender, amounting to 9s a chain, had been submitted. The tender was for a six-wire fence, the top wire being barbed. The action of the Chairman was approved, and the matter of fencing and planting, was left in his hands. Messrs A. Garrick;A!. Scott and Dr Moorhouse wore appointed .a sub-committee to interview, the fishermen who owned huts, with regard' to the amount of contribution likely to accrue to the Board from rentals.
