At a meeting of ministers to-day it wa» resolved to endeavour to secure an amendment of the Education Act to allow of the introduction of the Irish National School Book of Scripture into the State schools. Letters received from Sir George Grey by the mail state he is getting better and stronger, and one dated April 17 states that he is almost capable of again taking a part in public affairs. The stallion Foul Shot (by MusketSlander) has been purchased to go to America. Mr Lopez is the purchaser.
