ASSESSMENT COURT.
Mr H. W. Bishop held an Assessment Court for the city of Christchurch at the City Council Chambers yesterday morning, when the following reductions were made: North-east Ward—H. M’Connell, from £lB to .£l4; M. O’Brien and Co., from £275 to .£200; C. L. Rose, from £SO to £4O; G. W. S. Lyttelton, from £l2O to £100; same, from £lO to £3O; same, from £IOO to £SO; G. H. Moore, from £350 to £300; Rowloy’a trustees, from £ls to £8; H. J. Bowker, from £lB to £l2; W. Partes, from £52 to £l6. South-east Ward —I* 1 . B. Bulkeley, from £145 to £126 17a 6d ; Edwin Davis, from £l4 to £l2 ; E. J. Hampton, from £24 to £2l • E. J. T. Ford, from £35 to £3O; J. 'Murphy, from £BO to nil, on account of the school property being assessed with the Presbytery; C. Doherty, from £3O to £27; •T. Carter, from £3O to £23. North-west Ward—J. T. Bell, from £550 to £520 ; Union Bank of Australia, from £IOOO to £BSO ; E. C. J. Stevens, from £6O to £SO ; F. T. Haskins, from £6O to £SO. South-west Ward —R. F.
