RHODES CONVALESCENT HOME.

TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —As no answer has been given to my letter of May 9 regarding the above Home, we will naturally conclude the Secretary and committee have no answer to give. For the information of the subscribers to the Home, I may state definitely that the staff were dismissed simply because they were appointed by the ex-Lad'y Superintendent. As a subscriber to the Home, I protest against the action of the committee in this unjust dismissal. Ihey had no opportunity of judging the suitability of the staff, as with one exception, no member of the committee visited the Homo for some three years, and the staff were personally unknown to them. One of the dismissed was in the service of the Home for some four years, another for nearly two years, two more for eight months, and the other for about three months, ao it cannot be said they wero too long there. I maintain that a great wrong has been done these people by this moat unjust and' unnecessary dismissal, and the committee should at once put this wrong right in the oyes of the subscribers and the public. I trust that some of the many patients who have passed through the Home and been benefited by the attendance and the attention of those dismissed ones will not allow this matter to drop until it is sifted and put right. Hoping, with your permission, to refer at some future time to some more irregu-

laritiea in connection with this institution, —I am, &c., WANTING INFORMATION.
