THE GOOD TIMES COMING.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—l hope Mr William Harkor is wrong as regards this colony possessing no oil springs. If he is right so much the worse for the community, but there ia.not the slightest doubt about the colony being rich with other minerals, and it is to be hoped that pressure will ba brought to bear on the Government to get aa many of our able-bodied unemployed as possible on to tho goldfields, and pioneers to search for other minerals, as wait as gold. Some people think we have mountains of silver on the West Coast.—l am, &0., EXCELSIOR.
