TO THE 3DITOB. Sis,—A religious journal published m Christchurch anaoutcifi cha consignment of one hundred missionary boxes be,used for fcha collecting of money in aid of; the Melanesian Mission. It has been sug- ■ gesfced that a number of these boxes be placed in and around this city to hold| contributions in aid of procuring coals and?; blankets for the poor and unemployed} here during the coming ’winter. —I am, &o„ PLAIN ENGLISH.
