CATTLE EXPOST.
TO THE EBITOK. Sib. —The amount of nonsense that seams to have been ■written and said about the late cases of disease amongst the cattle on hoard the Perthshire is hardly creditable to New Zealand (South Island). There is ouch a mass of contradiction by men who are supposed to know their profession and business amongst the ofcoek of the country, that it Is about time that someone wao appointed for, at all events, Lyttelton. We’ have I do not know how many men that ought to bo positive very quickly about a disease that gives such a shock to the country and owners of cattle. I do nob blame any country from keeping their country free from disease, human or any other form; but why send the world’s bellman, in the shape of first-class news-f papers, to howl it from one country to the ; other ?—I am, &0., DEALER.
