TPeb Press Association.! HOKITIKA, March 6. Tne United Fire Brigades Association of New Zealand meets here on Monday next. Most of the delegates are expected to arrive on Saturday, and the Citizens’ Reception Committee is making elaborate preparations for the entertainment of the visitors. On their arrival the delegates will bo formally received at the railway station by the Mayor, the local firemen and the band, and escorted to the hotels. On Sunday, in conjunction with the local volunteers, a church parade will be held. Tha conference will sit at the Town Hall on Monday and Tuesday, and the Accident Assurance Society will also hold its annual meeting. A public “social” at the theatre has been arranged for Tuesday evening, and an aquatic-, picnic to Lake. Mahinapua on Wednesday. A citizens’ ball will be tendered to the visitois on Thursday night, and, if time permits, drives to surrounding sights will bo arranged. It is expected that a largo number of delegates will attend, and every effort will be made to ensure a pleasant visit.
