[Psb Press Association. I WELLINGTON. Maeoh G. la the Supreme Court George Todd, Jeremiah Crawley, Jeremiah Kelly, Eobort ■William Mountain and John Callaghan were charged jointly with having, on Dec. 26, at Wellington, assaulted William James Harris, actually cauEiag him bodily harm. The accused were members of the crew of the s.s. Kaikoura, and the charge arose out of a row on hoard on Boxing night, the prosecutor being quartermaster of the vessel. The prisoners were tried separately, Crawley, a fireman, being tried first, and found guilty. Sentence was
deferred. John Cummins, charged with a breach of the Bankruptcy Act, at Eketahuns, was found “ not guilty,” and discharged.
