HALF-HOLIDAY.
TO THE EDITOR. gxB } —Allow me to say a few words about the half-holiday in your valuable paper. This question, I think, has been well threshed out in your columns. Last Thursday I went to town to get a fow things I required from the auction rooms, and was very much surprised to see some of them closed and others open. Now, I think it would be better for all concerned if the auction rooms kept open, and close on Saturday. As a dealer closing, on Thursday, I have no chance of picking np goods I may require that - are said to be found in these rooms. I now come to the conclusion that Thursday is not the day for the auction rooms to close, and trust the owners may unite to have on? universal half-day among themselves.—l am, &c., DEALER.
