LAND FOR THE PEOPLE.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sib,—After listening to the very able speeches of Messrs Russell and Collins, delivered by them in Cathedral Square on the land question, I think no time should be lost in bringing their propositions into actual practice. I should like to suggest that our M.H.R.’s meet us a little oftener, and as outdoor speaking is not good for some of them, would it not be wise to secure the Opera House, and take up a collection to defray expenses, when anything over and above the cost of the hall, advertising, &c., could be given to Herrick’s Home? I would gladly give according to my means towards such an object.—l am, &c., ELECTOR.
