It was decided that Mr Benge ehou d bs appointed head master of tho Vv’oodviiio School at a salary of A 135 a year. A resolution of tbe com..mittee regarding the finances ot the Board rerommended that the salaries of all teachers ami officers above with the exception of tho secretary and accountant, should be reduced as follow: Salaries above 22200 and not exceeding .£220, to tho race cf 23200 per annum; calasiei above £220 to be reduced 10 per cent per annum. The discussion was adjourned. It is understood that the Premier will give au address in Auckland on hie return from the north, probably on Tuead&y next.
