THE NAPIER FLOODS.
A BODY RECOVERED. [Per Press Association.] NAPIER. Dec. 11. Collections were made in all the local churches yesterday in aid of the flood relief fund, and a substantial sum was raised. The flood relief funds amount to about <B2OOO, including <B2IO from Wellington and <B2O from bis Excellency the Governor. The body of the Rev S, Douglas was found to-day. At fcho inquest the jury returned a verdict that no blame was attachable to anyone. WELLINGTON. Dec. 11.
The local subscriptions to the Hawke’s Bay flood relief fund amount to about <8330.
