RUGBY UNION.
[Peb Pbess Association.] WELLINGTON, June 23. The New Zealand Rugby Union has just given a decision on the drat appeal remitted to it. In a match between the Waitohi and Marlborough Clubs the ball struck a spectator over the goal line, and the Referee awarded a try without consulting the Umpires. The New Zealand Union decided it was no try, and that the Marlborough Union had power to override the Referee’s decision on a question of the construction of the rules, and not of facts.
