HEATS OF LAST FOX.
[Psb Pbess Association.] AUCKLAND. June 23. Lady Fox died at three o’clock this morning. Sir William has been confined to his bed for the last week by severe influenza. Lady Pox was seized at four yesterday afternoon, and rapidly sank into a state of torpor, losing her speech. She never rallied, and expired peacefully and apparently painlessly. She had been very active for her age, and enjoyed good health. She had ordered her carriage so that she might attend the public Kindergarten meeting. According to the views of the deceased and Sir William the interment will be private and no mourning worn.
