LICENSING.
[Peb Press Association.] MASTERTON, June 23. At a public meeting, at which addresses were given by leading residents and prominent Maori chiefs, a resolution was passed condemning the establishment of alicensiug district in the King country, and calling on the Premier to revoke the proclamation. DUNEDIN, June 23. The Caversham Licensing Committee granted the hotel and bottle licenses, the consideration of which had been postponed, and saddled the Rev J. T. Hinton, the objector, with costs.
