Quotations are for first-class articles only, delivered in Christchurch at a cost of from 20s to 25s per ton, from ship's side in Port Lyttelton; arranged by the last Customs' interpretation of the Tariff. I

GRAIN REPORT. Business throughout the week has been without much animation in this market. Flour has rcccded in price, and is now quoted at £20 per ton superfine Canterbury. Bran is getting scarce, and holders are asking £7. Sharps £8 10s. per ton. Oats have come to hand to satisfy trade requirements, at 6s. 6d. to f)8. Barley for seed is inquired for at fis. to ss. 6d. Potatoes have again dropped in price; £2 10s. to £3 per ton are current rates.
