MESSRS. J. OLLIVIER & SON have received instructions from C. E. Dampier, Esq., of Northlands, to sell by public auction, at their Rooms, on THURSDAY, APRIL 24, The remaining portion of the Christchurch Quay Estate, situate on the west side of the wharf. This valuable property hitherto reserved from sale is now offered for public competition at the upset price of £25 per quarter acre for allotments fronting on the Ferry road £20 per quarter acre for allotments fronting on private roads intersecting the estate. The allotments are of convenient size for suburban residences, containing from one quarter acre to one acre each. The ground is the most valuable for building purposes, having large frontages on the main road. Firewood is obtainable at the wharfs adjoining at a much less expense than at any other locality within the same distance of the town of Christchurch. Water may be readily obtained at a slight depth on any of the allotments not having a river frontage. This property is distant only two miles from the Market place in the Town of Christchurch—a convenient distance for gentlemen engaged in-business avocations. Dampier, Esq., to Sell by Public Auction at their Rooms, on THURSDAY, MAY 1, all that elegant and convenient freehold residence situated in Dam pier's Bay, known as Waicliffe, with one and a quarter acres of land annexed thereto, well laid out in ornamental and kitchen gardens and orchard, and plentifully stocked with fruit and forest trees, shrubs, &c. This property comprises town sections Nos. 240, 241, 242, 243 and 245 in Lyttelton. For a private residence, Waicliffe presents many advantages; the admirable view of the harbour which its situation commands; the beauty of its grounds ; aud the perfect arrangement of its offices, entitle it to rank as the best property in Lyttelton. The auctioneers will be prepared to receive otters to rent the above portion of the Waicliffe estate upon lease, with a purchasing clause, upon very reasonable terms.
