THE OLDEST MAN ON THE JOB.

Two boiler-makers were one day repairing a Lancashire boiler, when a joiner passing by stopped for a few moments to watch the men at work. After standing a few minutes he asked the following- question of one of the men :—"I have often wondered how you chaps goes on when you have'the last rivet in. How does the fellow that's inside the boiler get out again '?"
