Young Smartly was having a holiday in the country, and thought himself no end of a toff.
One; day he noticed a pretty damsel taking a good look at him. Turning to her he asked ": "And whom do 1 remind you of inv dear ?"
'Well, with your big stand-up collar you put me in mind of a donkey looking over a whitewashed wall," replied the matter-of-fact young maiden.
