LAKE COUNTY JOCKEY CLUB.
The annual meeting of members was. held in Eichardt’s Hotel, Queenstown, on Wednesday, 4th September. Dr Douglas occupied the chair. The balance-sheet for the year showed, a small debit balance. The following office-bearers were elected :—President, Dr Douglas ; vice-Presi-dent, Mr J. Black ; Committee : Messrs. P. M‘Carthy, J. Timpany, C. D. Dagg, J. M‘Connochie, J. Budge, R. «T. Cotter, P. de la Perrelle, G. D. Baird, and R. Paterson. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Reid, C. D. Dagg, J. Timpany, and J.. Stenhouse were appointed to draw up the programme to be submitted at a meeting, yesterday. The committee-met again yesterday. The programme as submitted was approved of, with,one or two slight alterations. The amount to be given in stakes, tot ils £‘3fi7 10s. The necessary sub-committees were appointed, and the office-bearers electee.. The office-bearers of last year were agon, re-elected.
