THE N.S.W. MILLERS.
SYDNEY, August 30. A meeting of millers and flour merchants discussed the unsatisfactory state of the breadstuffs market caused by the cutting of prices and the large harvest surplus that is expected in the early part of the year. It was decided to fix the price of leading brands of flour at £6 15s, and the second brands at £6 12s 6d. The meeting further recommended the Federal Treasurer to place a duty of one shilling a cental on wheat, and of two shillings a cental on the produce of wheat.
