LADIES’ SECTION. The following is the draw for the second round of Mrs. Broadfoot’s trophy:— Mrs. Hotson v. Mrs. Duncan; Mrs. Kennedy v. Mrs. Prescott; Mrs. Wilson v. Mrs. Thornton; Mrs. Were v. Mrs. Smart; Mrs. Chadwick v. Miss Burgess; Miss Silcock v.' Mrs. Ormsby; Mrs. Hetet v. Miss Hine; Mrs. Barker v. Mrs. Trapski; Mrs. Sinclair v. Mrs. O’Connell; Miss Craig v. Mrs. Symonds; Mrs. Evans v. Miss M. Hotson; Miss Walker v. Mrs. Harrison; Miss Calver v. Miss Podevin; Mrs. Marwood v. Mrs. Hebden. Will all players not selected in this draw please select own partners? The Stableford bogey held last week for Mr. Maughan’s trophy was won by Mrs. Wilson 31 pts., and Mrs. Chadwick 31 points (Senior division), and Miss Craig 30 points, and Mrs. Thornton 29 points (Junior division). Players are reminded to complete the third rounds of the Harrison and Empress Cups this week-end.
The final of the foursomes must be completed the following week-end. A most enjoyable inter-club match was played on Otorohanga links yesterday afternoon. The following are the results:— Mrs. Wilson lost to Mrs. Austin 1 down; Mrs. Kennedy defeated Mrs. Jackson 3 and 2; Mrs. Were lost to Mrs. Miller 3 and 2; Mrs. Sinclair defeated Mrs. Patterson 3 and 2; Mrs. Hotson defeated Mrs. Mexted 3 and 1; Mrs. Prescott defeated Miss Cumpstone 4 and 3; Mrs, Chadwick defeated Miss Matthews 5 and 4; Mrs. Gould defeated Mrs. Irvine 4 and 2; Mrs. Isaac lost to Mrs. Morley; Mrs. O’Connell defeated Mrs. Costley 2 up; Mrs. Thornton defeated Miss Cumpstone 7 and 6; Mrs. Symonds defeated Mrs. King 2 up.
