TE KUITI CENTENNIAL
FUNDS RECEIVED. DEVELOPING NEW PARK AREA. The secretary of the Centennial Fund, Mr. M. J. Strange, acknowledges receipt of the following- donations towards the cost of developing the Centennial Park:— Te Kuiti Cycling and Harriers Club Ladies Rest Room Committee £SO £9O In addition to the above amounts, the following promises of donations have been received:— Te Kuiti Borough Council .. £SO T.K. Amateur Athletic Club.. £SO Maniapoto Rugby Union .... £SO Bachelors' Club £SO Harrier and Cycling Clubs (additional) £35 T.K. Volunteer Fire Brigade . . £SO Maniapoto Cricket Association £SO Women's Institute £SO £385 This makes a total of £475 already in sight. A number of organisations have not yet held meetings to discuss the making of a donation to the fund, but it is anticipated that decisions in a number of cases will be reached within the next few weeks and that the required sum of £9OO will be forthcoming. This would enable the committee to achieve its objective in providing a suitable Centennial Memorial for Te Kuiti which will adequately serve the residents of Te Kuiti and surrounding districts for many years.
