TE ANGA STOCK SALE
KEEN COMPETITION RULES. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports having held their monthly stock sale at Te Anga on Wednesday when a medium entry of cow and heifer beef came forward and sold under keen competition at prices fully up to Waikato rates. The offering of store cattle comprised a few pens of Polled Angus cows which realised satisfactory prices considering their condition was rather poor. Good prices were also realised for the advertised entry of yearling Polled Angus and Hereford heifers.
Quotations: Medium fat P.A. heifers £5 10s to £5 15s; medium fat P.A. and Hereford cows £6 7s 6d to £7; light Hereford cows to £5 10s; medium boner cows £2 10s to £3 2s; light boner cows 30s to £2; yearling P.A. heifers £2 3s to £2 7s; yearling Here, steers £2 15s; backward yearling Hereford heifers 30s; poor conditioned P.A. cows £2 5s to £2 13s.
