ARIA STOCK SALE

INTEREST IN CATTLE. Messrs. Newton King, Limited, report that at their Aria sale on Monday last a full yarding of all classes of cattle came forward and met with strong competition from a large and representative bench of buyers. Best fat P.A. cows sold to £6 18s; others £5 to £5 15s; 18-months P.A. steers realised £3 17s, with steer calves from 37s 6d to £2 3s; store and forward cows sold at late rates.

A large yarding of dairy cattle, some 110 head being sold under the hammer elicited keen competition, Mr. T. Arndt's herd of quality cows selling from £7 15s to £lO. Early calving cows and heifers, on account of other vendors, sold from £6 10s to £7 15s; later sorts £5 to £6 ss; small and very backward sorts £3 15s to £4 10s.
