Whether from the point of view of meticulousness or humour, and one suspects the latter, a Wellington taxpayer caused . much amusement to officials of the Income Tax Depart; ment recently by the filling in of his income return form. Rather than draw a line (as many do) through the "Income from sources other thari salary or wages" clause,, he. wrote, "Sixpence from the Christmas pudding!"
