WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MONTHLY MEETING. The February meeting of Te Kuiti Women’s Institute Was held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday last. There was a fair attendance of members and a number of visitors were present. During the aiternoon Mrs. Wilson, who is a member of Te Kuiti St. John Ambulance Brigade, gave a very interesting talk on home nursing, her subject being “Burns: Remedies and how to apply them.” Mrs. Simpson, who is also a member, gave a most interesting and instructive demonstration on bandaging. Both ladies were accorded a very hearty vote of thanks. The competition, best collection of vegetables, was won by Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Stockin being second. Hostesses were Mesdames Meredith, Reardon, Miller and Rolton.
