Judge McCormick, who has been presiding over the Native Land Court in Te Kuiti for the past two weeks, left for Auckland last night. Cummings, superintendent of police at Wellington, is to be appointed Commissioner of Police on the final retirement of Mr. W. G. Wohlmann, the present commissioner.
