Crackers Biscuits. —%lb. of flour, 2oz. butter, % cup milk, a pinch of salt. Rub flour and butter together, add salt, mix with milk to a stiff ■paste. Roll out very thin, and cut into squares. Bake in a moderate oven to a pale brown. Currant Biscuits. —4oz. flour, 2oz. white sugar, 2oz. currants, 2oz. lard or margarine; half teaspoon baking powder, a little milk. Rub lard and flour together, add all other dry ingredients, and mix with milk. Place on a floured board and roll out very thin; cut out with biscuit-cutter, put in moderate oven and bake to a light brown.
