OTTAWA CONFERENCE
MR. THOMAS TO ATTEND. "MALICIOUS GOSSIP" CONTRADICTED. '(Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 10.45 a.m.) London, March 7.
Official circles describe as "malicious gossip" the Liberal-Labour newspapers' hints that Mr. J. H. Thomas, Secretary for the Dominions, is not going to the Ottawa Conference. The Australian Press is informed that Mr. Thomas is supervising the Ottawa Conference arrangements, and there is no shadow of doubt that he will be one of the delegates.
The suggestion that Mi*. Neville Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer, will also attend is discounted by the fact that in July Mr. Chamberlain will be busily preoccupied with international financial matters.
