SMALLEST BABY RECORDS.
CASES IN WAIRARAPA DISTRICT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Eketahuna, this day. In reference to the cable yesterday that the smallest baby in the world, weighing 2 lbs. 2 ozs., was born at Battersea, the local Plunket nurse stated that one born in the Eketahuna district was 1 lb. 12 ozs. The baby was reared by the Plunket methods under the supervision of a local doctor, and now at three years is one of the healthiest and bonniest children you could find. Another baby at Pahiatua weighed 2 lbs. 8 ozs., and at six weeks is now a healthy child at the Karitane Harris Hospital. Another record is of a baby weighing 1 lb. 12 ozs. at three weeks. It is now five years of age and quite normal.
