EMPRESS THEATRE. Vienna, with its gaiety and its secret channels of . conspiracy, and the sleeping countryside about it, with its great old castles where the scenes of “The Prisoner” are laid. “The Prisoner” is a Universal screen play adapted from George Barr McCutcheon’s “Castle Craneycrow,” and is the star attraction at the Empress to-night and on Monday, with Herbert Rawlinson in the starring performance and Eileen Percy, Bertram Grassby, June Elvidge, and other popular players supporting him. “Castle Craneycrow” was a widely read romantic novel. The supporting items include a Century comedy, Gazette, and the next round of “The New Leather Pushers.”
