A small boy at a big Taranaki football match on a recent Saturday was puzzled at what turned out to be the referee (relates the Taranaki Herald). When the little chap was sitting at the tea-table, he was still talking about the football, and, with a perplexed look on his face, he said, “Daddy, who was that painter chap on the ground?”
