ST. ANDREW'S TENNIS CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of St. Andrew's Tennis Club was held recently, and a good attendance of members was recorded. The following were elected as officers for the ensuing season: — President, Rev. H. R. Fell; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr H. J. Craig; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Bates, M. Reid, A. M. Stewart, and J. Jamieson. ' Committee, Misses L. Oliver, E. Bates, D. Butcher, and Messrs Gordon Brown and F. Sparks. Considerable discussion followed as to the proposal to turn the courts. The present distance behind the base lines is not sufficient to allow of any base line play, and in turning the courts ample space could be obtained. It was finally proposed by Mr Craig, seconded by Miss Butcher and carried, that this work be put in hand immediately. It was decided that the opening day should be fixed for October 7. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the retiring officers.
