STOCK SALES. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— Palmerston North.—A moderate yarding of both sheep and cattle and with the exception cf one pen all the sheep were sold. The enquiry for cattle was not so good. We quote:—Pat ewes 27s 6d to 28s 9d, two and four tooth wethers to 24s 6d, b.f. hoggets to 28s, fat cows small to £8 12s 6d, fat heifers, light £7 15s, forward store cows £5 8a 6d to £7 17s, cows ard calves £4 3s 6d to £7 10s. springing cows £l2 to £ls, springing heifers to £7 15s, yearling bulls £4 5s to £5, yearling Bteers to £4. Feilding.—A small yarding of sheep and a heavy yarding of cattle. We quitted every line of sheep under the hammer. The enqoiry for cattle was on the whole better. We quote:—Fat ewes to 345, fat lambs 20b, mixed two tooths 15s 2d to 23a 7d, fat cowa £9 15s to £l2 3s, forward cows £7 6s to £9 7s 6d, three year steers to £l2, eighteen months steers, ba3 colours £5 to £5 ss, empty two and a half year heifers '£s 10s to £7 12s, mixed yearlings to £3 2s, springing cows £B. 15s to £9 10s, bulls £3 to £ll 5s " ' Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report: — Feilding. —A very good yarding of both sheep and cattle. There wag a strong demand right throughout and practically all lines changed hands at prices as below:—Mixed two tooths 19s 9d to 20s 6d, two tooth ewes 22s Id, two tooth wethers 22s lid to 26?, fat eswe 325, mixed fat sheep 33a light fat shorn ewes 24s 6d, small woolly hoggets 22s 6d, woolly hoggets 28g 3d, a line of 489 two tootb wethers on account of Mr S. WillianJson, Waituna, realised 29s Bd, yearling steers £6 4s to £6 12a, good fifteen month steers £8 9s, fifteen months heifers £5 3s, two year steers £8 10s, three year rough bullocks £lO ss, three year bullocks £l2, forward cows £9 to £9 15s, store cows £5 10s to £7 7s, light fat cows £ll 15s. bulls £3 10s to £B.
