The noted evangelist. Rev. Val Trigge, of Melbourne, opened a ten days' mission in the local Methodist Church on Sunday last to good congregations, in the evening the church being crowded. The services are being well attended each evening and much good is being done. On Friday afternoon next Mr Triguf holds his usual "Old Folks At Home" gathering in the church vestry, which is one of the chief features of his mission throughout the Dominion. The Te Kuiti gathering on Friday will be the ninety-ninth held in New Zealand during Mr Trigg's tour. The object of this gathering, which is purely of a social nature, is to bring a little sunshine into the lives of the "Old Folk" by the younger generation's expressions of gratitude to those who have done so much for them. All who are grand-parents, and those over'sixty years are cordially invited. Afternoon tea will be dispensed and a special bouquet of flowers presented to—The oldest resident in Te Kuiti; the oldest resident in the Dominion; and the person longest married. Any person unable to WBlk will be met by a motor car. As this is the first gathering of its kind held in Te Kuiti, and bs it iB purely undenominational, a large gathering of elderly people is expected.
