Intercession services will ba hold at all the Presbyterian Church services on Sunday next. Sunday next has been declared by the Government as Intercession Day and will be observed cs such in Te Kuiti. The Municipal Band, Fire Brigade, various lodges, Territorials and Boy Scouts will meet on the Domain at 2.30 p.m., proceed to tho People's Picture Palace, where a combined service will be held. Ministers representing the various denominations in tho town will officiate, and the Rev. Vol Triggo, evangelist, will deliver an address. The Otorohangß ,Ladies' Golf Club are holding a Red Cross Day on Thursday, October 11th, when competitions will he held. The lady members of the local club are cordially invited. Tho programme will be 18 holes, medal round, driving competition, approaching and putting. The entrance fee is la and Gd. Luncheon Is 6d and afternoon tea 6d, can he procured on the links. Play will commence at 10.HO a.m. Any lady member wishing to take part in the competitions should notify the hon. secretary.
