A PRISONER DROWNED.
_ -«►- FALLS OFF A BRIDGE. [MY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION*.] Invercargill, This Day. A prisoner named Frank Peterson, aged 25, was drowned in the estuary yesterday. He was working on the bridge on the estuary when he unaccountably fell into the water and wai drowned in a few minutes. The prisoner was serving a sentence of three years, and had been brought from the North Island. The body has not been recovered.
