FOOTBALL.
MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION. The annual meeting was held in the Chronicle office on Thursday evening, at which delegates from Ongarue, Waimiha, Te Kuiti, Mangapehi, Otorohanga, and Nehi Nehi Clubs were present. The report and balance-sheet was received and adopted. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr F. Moorhouse president, Mr G Berry; vice-presidents, Messrs H Clarke, Scholes, J. Grey, Pepene i Eketone, W. A. Hogg and A. F. Howarth; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. S. Gresham; assistant secretary, Mr F. Matthews; auditor, Mr L. C. Harto'n- management committee. Messrß I Worthington, C. Matthew, P. Mora, Heke and Howarth; delegates to South Auckland Rugby Union Messrs Mora, Lusk, Rothery, and C. Matthew. Application from Ongarue Club for registration was accepted, subject to no opposition from King Country Union- „ . J ~ It was decided that Saturday, May 17th, be the opening day, the Management Committee to meet on Tuesday, May 13th, to draw teams, which will appear in the Chronicle, Wednesday, May 14th.
